A guy in a gay sauna earlier in the week used a condom. It’s such a rare occurrence it got me thinking about the disappearing condom. Of course normally I might decline to be fucked with a condom but on this occasion I could see it would lose me the fuck - an middle-aged gentleman looking like a closeted husband shortly to return to his wife - and things were going poorly for me and I might strike out altogether that afternoon.

It’s rare to have anyone use a condom to fuck me or ask me to use one. I’m on PrEP and I expect most guys I fuck with are too. It is so liberating to fuck bare. It is a big change from just a few years ago when everyone used condoms. Some guys still use condoms - if I had to generalise I’d say it tends to be older guys, closeted guys or Asian immigrants or visitors.
With Asians it’s not a cultural thing. I bareback with plenty of Asian guys. It just varies depending upon the availability of PrEP where they come from (including getting prescriptions, cost and whether they live with families). In Thailand and Taiwan barebacking seemed common but not so much in Japan and Bali. I know it can be difficult in China. In Bali I remember a guy starting with a condom but when I told him I didn’t need one he was happy to ditch it. Others would allow raw sex up to some point approaching climax then condoms were required.
It’s rare for me to video sex with condoms. It may just be an assumption on my part that guys wanting condoms won’t want to be filmed. But I did get some shots of a Chinese guy fucking me with a condom then picturing it full of cum.
