Cancun, Mexico

I travelled to Cancun, Mexico, in 2016. An international meeting was being held in a fancy gated resort complete with private beach and everything included, including free liquor in the room, by the pools and in the bars and restaurants. I was unaccustomed to such luxury but hoped it would be a good place for sex. 

I soon connected with a guy on Grindr and things looked promising. He asked me why I was there and when I said I was a delegate to the international meeting he immediately blocked me.Obviously, he was also a delegate and presumably a closeted one. So I gave up on cruising and concentrated on business for the week of meetings. 

However, all was not lost as I had arranged to take a few days holiday at a somewhat cheaper hotel further along the beach. It was a tower block alongside several other big hotels but right on the public beach.    

Grindr worked just fine away from the closed off world of the exclusive resort. As well as swimming in some beautiful clear and warm sea I had two memorable hookups with young men. This was shortly before I started barebacking consistently and before I went on PrEP. However, I did occasionally go raw on a somewhat ad hoc basis. 

The first hookup was with a twink of about 18 who was holidaying with his parents. They were in the next door hotel and he had slipped out telling them he was going for a walk. He fucked me quite satisfactorily as he had done it a few times before. He was interested in me fucking him but he hadn’t done it before and I wouldn’t want to rush such an important milestone to get him back to his parents in time. 

Unusually the other guy had also sneaked away from a family holiday in a nearby hotel. However, he was somewhat more independent being a new soldier on leave from a military base in California. He also fucked me and did a good job. One feature that I recall was the fact that he had shaved all his pubic hair. That is, of course, by no means especially unusual but I did wonder about the communal sleeping and bathing arrangements. On the other hand I guess the army has a cross section of young men not unlike the rest of society.
